True Blue Party Punch

I made it through another holiday weekend! Hooray! This year I had to do a promo on Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz dealership so that threw off my usual Friday-Monday party. Oops. Oh well. Saturday afternoon Tyson and I headed straight to Grand Lake. We were out on the water all day Sunday then back to Joplin on Monday for a BBQ. I was in charge of the punch and I want to share my recipe with you! It was really big hit!
This is so easy to make!

Ingredients:
2 liter of Sprite

(I used light grape juice to lower the sugar content. You could also use Sprite Zero for less sugar.)

Pour equal parts of each into a punch bowl. Don't pour the Sprite until you serve the punch so that it doesn't go flat before guests drink it. Pour over ice and enjoy!

This punch is kid friendly... but we might have adultified it with some Malibu Pineapple Rum. It would also be tasty with vodka. Pour a splash of your chosen alcoholic beverage and then top with the party punch. Stir and enjoy!

I'm back!

Has it really been 10 days since my last post? Whew! Time flies when you are having fun boating.

Here are some more pics of our adventure in Miami and Key West!

This is the yacht some friends of mine from Oklahoma chartered... her name is "Mia" and she is GORGEOUS!

We party.

13 people in Freedom headed to the island!

We made it! Boca!

Best island party EVER!

I love my girls!

So much fun!

Blondes have more fun!

Bye Key West... until next time!

We actually got home on the 11th but my head has been spinning ever since.

I have been to Wal-Mart twice in the passed two days which gives me a headache in itself.

I had to go birthday present shopping for Mr. Sam's first birthday.
kid is spoiled

Don't worry... I got us adults some presents for his birthday, too

I've been cleaning the house which means I have been cleaning cat litter boxes.
yuck

I finally bought QuickBooks Pro for the business. This in itself is about to make me go nutso. I am no accountant and I'm about freaking tired of looking at receipts all the time. Gotta get this biz organized.

Oh and we have been working on our fish tank. We did a little maintenance on it yesterday which involved extreme amounts of dust which of course I am allergic to so I got sick as a dog and I currently feel like total crap. Yay me.
What you don't see any fish in our 1600 gallon fish tank? That's because there are only two in there. We are currently working on that problem.

Alright that is all I have for today. I'll catch up on my 30 Days of Thanks later on when my head isn't pounding from all of this fun sinus pressure.

Happy Birth-Month to Me!

Well.. it's August and that means it's my birth-month!

HOORAY!

Wait, what?

I should NOT be excited about getting older...
whatever.

I accept gifts in the form of cash, check, or awesome stuff.
KIDDING.

Anywho... anyone else have an August birthday? It really is the best month to be born.
1. There are no holidays in August which means no one can try the "Here's your birthday-slash-Easter gift".
2. When I was in hike-school, I was one of the oldest in my class which translates to I could drive before anyone else which translates to me being more awesome.
3. Also, August is "National Goat Cheese Month" and "Panini Month"... whatever that means.
4. The last weekend in August is the Shootout at The Lake of the Ozarks. This means fast boats come from all over the world to celebrate my birthday with me!

I'll definitely keep y'all posted on how I celebrate my birth-month.

Today I got my first gift from myself. I ordered some crap I don't need from Elf. Couple makeup brushes, some bronzer, blush, highlight, concealer, lip gloss, and some eyebrow stencils so I can see what I look like with eyebrows like this:
Hello, Perfect Eyebrows.
ferking bitch

What did I do last year for my birthday?
Here I'll show you.

We went to Big Dick's and did minnow shots. Yes. Live minnows. You pick your shot of choice and they serve it with live minnows. You fish out a minnow, drop it in your shot glass, and then dump it down your throat.
 It's not pretty...
But would I do it again? Hell yes!

Last year I hung out with some boat racer friends. Boats make me happy.
And then we did more shots...
And then went boating some more!
Yay for birthdays and yay for boats!

The next 31 days will be filled with exciting birthday-related stuff. Don't let that scare you because I could post literally anything.

So if you find yourself at a bar or out to dinner and you need a good excuse to order some alcoholic beverages or feel like you want some dessert, just say:
"We are celebrating Tristan's Birthday-Month so it's okay!"

K, I'll shut up now.

Drunk Gummies Recipe

The bachelorette party has come and gone and now I can show all you lovelies my recipe for Drunken Gummy Bears. Do you like to get drunk? Do you like gummy bears? Perfect. You must make these ASAP.

What You Will Need
Gummy Bears (I buy mine at Sam's Club... $5.98 for 6lbs)
Shoe Box Tub (Wal-Mart carries these for about $1.00)
A lot of Vodka... I'm talking like at least two fifths (I used Skyy)
Watermelon Pucker (Two Liters)
A Stirring Utensil
Disposable Shot Glasses with Lids (Optional)

Step 1: Dump your bag of gummy bears into the plastic tub.
Step 2: Dump in one of the bottles of vodka and one bottle of Watermelon Pucker.
Step 3: Stir it up.
Step 4: Dance around the house because you are so excited to be making drunken gummies.
Step 5: Stop dancing and put the lid on the tub and put it in your refrigerator.
Step 6: Stir every day at least twice for three days. Your gummies should be a little tipsy by now and be soaking up all that delicious goodness.
Step 7: On about day four, pour in the rest of the vodka and Pucker.
(Don't lie... you have already tasted a few of your gummy friends and they were a little hard in the middle. This means they are not done.)
Step 8: Wrestle down a few gummies and taste them. They should begin to taste delicious.
Step 9: After about seven days, they should be soft, slippery, yummy, and drunk. Now they are done.
Step 10: Put about eight gummies in each shot glass. You are probably going to need some sort of a gummy-bear-catching-device because they are very slippery and run away from your fingers.
Step 11: Nom on your drunken gummies.
Step 12: Don't forget to share them with your friends!

I used about 5lbs of the 6lb bag because I might have eaten a few before I got them drunk. 5lbs of drunk gummy bears makes about 100 shots.

A word of advice... keep the gummies in a cool environment. They are kinda big sissies when it comes to extremely hot temperatures and they will melt and turn in to gummy-bear-booze-nastiness. I kept mine in a cooler on ice for the party. It worked brilliantly.
