My Easter Tree and Easter Decorations

I've had so much fun decorating my holiday tree for Easter. I love eggs and pastel colors and it's such a nice way to welcome Spring. So I thought I would share with you where I got all these cute little ornaments and decorations!
I got the tree at Pier One last year the day after Christmas for 50% off. It was originally $40 so I got it for $20. All of the hanging egg ornaments are from Hobby Lobby. The sequin eggs were in a package of 12 for $2.39. The larger matte finish eggs were in a package of 12 for $4.19.
The eggs with glitter and beading on them I bought individually for $1.79 each. The crosses were in a package of 6 for $0.88 cents. The moss underneath the tree was in a 6' roll for $5.99.
This Easter bunny ornament was $2.39. My favorite ornament is this fuzzy baby chick with a crown on it's head. I got it at Pier 1 for $3.95.
Moving over to the Eater basket...
I got the white basket at Hobby Lobby for $4.49 but I can't find the link for it. The three carrots are from Pier 1 for $4.95. I got the grass last year from Target on clearance and the eggs are old and I don't know where they are from.

And that's it! So in total I spent about $35 dollars decorating my sideboard for Easter which I think is just fine considering I will use these ornaments every year for a long time. Every time I walk by it I smile. It makes me so hoppy! (Hehe... see what I did there!?)

Winner Winner, CLARISONIC!

Boy am I one naughty blogger! I haven't posted in a month and some BIG THINGS have happened. I have been so busy! I'll catch you guys up on that stuff later, though. Today I am devoting this whole post to thanking one of my favorite bloggers, Shasta Anne! I won her giveaway for a Clarisonic!
She announced the winner on August 25. I was out of town AND my stupid iPhone wasn't connecting to my gmail account so I wasn't getting some of my emails. Then she commented on my Birthday Wishlist post telling me again that I had won. (I'm a horrible giveaway winner, I know.)

I finally saw her comment and e-mail when I got home on the 26th. I can assure you I was ECSTATIC! I was sitting in my office screaming

"OH MY GAWD!!! I WON A CLARISONIC!!!"

The guys were like "What is a Clarisonic?"

And my dumbass replies "It's this face-scrubber thing that vibrates!!!"

and they say "You won a vibrator!?"

ummmmm... kind of?

men...

I was so very happy that I won. I have wanted a Clarisonic for a few years and have struggled with whether to buy one for myself or put it on my wishlist for Christmas or my birthday. The stars must have aligned because winning one is way better!

When I got it in the mail, I was pretty happy.
Shasta packaged it so beautifully with a glittery "T" and pretty tissue paper.
I got to choose between the MIA in white, teal, mango, or pink OR the MIA 2 in white. I selected the MIA 2 in white.

I have been using it about every other day and I can definitely feel my face is cleaner than just washing it with a cleanser. And so far I haven't experienced that "Clarisonic breakout phase". My acne is hormonal so I don't think it will really help with that but it will definitely keep me looking fresher and promote new cell turnover which is great for me since I have oily skin.

Again, big thanks to Shasta! This is one of my absolute favorite birthday presents!

Saw It. Pinned It. Did It... Glowstick Nails!

I saw this picture on Pinterest and instantly fell in love!
And this one...
And then I remembered seeing this color on Ingrid last summer...
Obnoxious, highlighter yellow nails?

I MUST HAVE THEM!!

I have not had fake nails since 2009 when this happened:

(pic was about ten days after)

Yes that is blood under my finger nail. Gross I know.
We were out on the boat and I was grabbing the bumpers to tie-up to another boat. When I was walking to the bow of the boat I lost my grip on the rope and dropped the bumper in the water. My stupid move was trying to grab it and when I did that my finger nail caught the hand-rail. It pulled my nail straight off the nail bed. Makes my stomach churn just thinking about it! I immediately squeezed my nail back on to my nail bed and tried to not toss my cookies all over the place. Luckily, we were tying up with a friend who was a doctor! He rinsed it and put that stretchy medical tape on it and said "You are gonna be okay!" That was a relief but I could not use my right hand at all! Hair washing, writing, nothing. Sucked.

So I grew a pair and went to my favorite pedicure place, but this time I asked for a mani. The nice Chinese man says...
"Ooooooh, you get maneecuurr theese time? You neva get maneecurr."

Long story short, I LOVE THESE BABIES!

My nails remind me of post-it notes...
Miss Geico...
and LMFAO.
The color is by Orly and it is called "Glowstick".
And right now at Ulta Orly is Buy 1 Get 1 FREE so that is $4.00 per bottle of polish!

I know the color is a little much for spring but I just could not wait! A little tip to get the polish as bright as possible is to paint one coat of white polish underneath two coats of Glowstick. It really makes the color pop! Oh, and the color is black light reflective! Super cool!!

My new whip...

Pretty sweet, right?

KIDDING.

I mean THIS new whip...

This car does everyone but wash the dishes.

Back-up camera...
Awesome gas mileage... (and this is city driving!!)
Touch-screen navigation
XM Radio

This car has this thing called "Blue Link". I can use an app on my iPhone to remote start, roll up/down windows, unlock/lock doors... you get the point.

It has a turbo-charged engine and it's really FAST!

Leather
Paddle shifters
Tinted windows
Panoramic roof/moon roof
Heated front and rear seats
Dual temperature control

This car is amazeballs.

I bought my first Sonata in 2008. It was two years old and I got a SMOKIN' deal on it.
I put 70,000 miles on that car in 4 years. I decided earlier this summer that it was time to start car shopping. Tyson and I looked at a few different models but I was so happy with my '06 Sonata, we looked in to the new version.

I had NO clue he was going to get me one for my birthday... better yet a brand new one. (I'm the type to buy used.) I am so happy with this car. It rides like a dream, feels sporty, but has every luxury that a Mercedes would have, only $30,000 cheaper.

So if you are in the market for a new car, definitely look at some Hyundais. They build really great quality cars... comparable to Lexus and Mercedes... but at half the price. Trust me! I love a good bargain!

I am one happy girl.

Happy Birthday America!

Hey ladies! I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July so far. It feels weird to me since it's on a Wednesday. I'm used to one crazy weekend dedicated to the 4th. This year we have two!

A few things to remember:
and
If you are traveling, drive safe!
If you are shooting off fireworks, be careful!

At Skaterfest last weekend, Ronnie put on an amazing fireworks display. Though the grand finale was a little more than what we expected!

Don't worry. No one was hurt!

Happy 4th!
