Happy Birthday to Me!

Well today is the ole birthday. Big 2-7! This birthday has already been way too exhilarating considering my boyfriend's cat brought me a birthday present last night... a MOUSE in my BED. I'll tell you guys the story later but I just wanted to pop in and let y'all know I'm still alive! I have been very busy but I haven't forgot about you. Hopefully I'll get a catch-up post up this week but right now I'm off to lunch!

Outfit of the Day: Boho Casual

Today was a busy day. I woke up and hit the ground running! Did some office work, had a quick lunch, then headed to Fayetteville for an orthodontist appointment.

My outfit today was inspired by two things.

1. Amber Fillerup Clark aka Barefoot Blonde and

2. My new henna tattoo.

Amber has gorgeous long blonde hair that looks so effortless. She usually has beachy waves or braids which prompted me to try this look.

Yesterday I went and got a henna tattoo. When I got my eyebrows threaded a few weeks ago I saw that they did henna, also. I thought about it for a little while then just went to the mall last night and had her go to town. I LOVE how it turned out.

Not all of the henna is at it's full color yet. The darkest color will be at 48 hours after application.

Also, I've been loving these expandable bracelets from Target. They are similar to the Alex and Ani bracelets but at a fraction of the price.

It's been a bit since I posted so I am going to make this a quick catch-up and Confessional Friday.

// I confess that I found out we have baby fishies about a week and a half ago. Our tank is huge (1600 gallons) and we only had three fish in there. Two cichlids and on plecostomus. Now we have 12 baby cichlids and they are sooo small it's hard to get a picture of them.

// I confess that I just got back from another poker run. This one was in Michigan on Lake St. Clair. We had a ball. I'll spare you by only posting a few photos that my favorite photographer Naples Image captured.

// I confess that I've been digging Happy Hour at Sonic lately. I like their unsweet green tea in various flavors. Route 44 of course!

// And finally I confess that I rescued a baby kitty from a busy intersection yesterday. It's kind of ironic because on Wednesday a friend of mine posted a video on Facebook of her cat attacking papers as they came out of the printer. It was so cute I commented on it and said "Omg I need an office cat so bad!"

This little nugget was dodging cars back-and-forth across a four lane, busy street. I pulled over and picked him up and drove around the neighborhood looking for anyone who might have lost a cat. I gave up and brought him home. Of course Tyson gave me that look like "are you nuts" but I think he's warming up to the idea of having an office cat.

I haven't introduced him to Boo Boo yet because he hasn't been vaccinated yet. His appointment is on Monday. I went to the store and got him kitten formula, a food/water bowl, a collar, a litter box, and some kitten food so I'd say he is living high on the horse now. I was trying to figure out what to name him and I thought Drake would be cute because he "started from the bottom now we're here". Lol cheesy, I know. He is very friendly and likes people so I think he will fit in great here!
