Confessional Friday: {Link Up with A Blonde Ambition}

Happy Friday everyone! Today is Confessional Friday AGAIN. Where did this week go? Thank goodness Leslie hosts CF because without her I might never blog. Haha jokes...

but seriously...

// I am seriously IN LERRVE with this L'oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum. It makes my face so smooth. I have been using it daily and nightly since I got it about a month ago. It soothes my skin, and I have not had any breakouts with it so that's a win in my book! It retails for $19.98 at Wal-Mart but right now they have a $2.00 off coupon so go load up! It's wonderful!

// I am

SO.
OVER.
WINTER.

It is going to rain today and then we get a nice "wintry mix" on Sunday with a low of 3 degrees.

SWEET.

Not.

I want to go outside and run and jump and play and stuff. Not sit inside and eat the refrigerator.

// I need this blue console table. It's on sale at Target.com for $119.99 but shipping is $36.00 DOLLARS. Uhhhh NO. So I signed up for the RedCard (why I haven't done this before, I don't know) so I could get free shipping but it takes 7-10 days to get approved! Seriously!? I am giving you direct access to my bank account and you have to go THINK ABOUT IT for 7-10 days? Dumb.

// Today is my Invisalign Anniversary! One year wearing aligners. I am so thankful for this experience to improve my smile and overall health. I can not believe the difference in my smile. See for yourself!

WARNING
Gross teeth pictures ahead.

On Monday I go in to have my teeth shaped and re-scanned for refinements. Then after I am completely finished with Invisalign I will get crowns put on the two implants you can see in the pictures. And somewhere in there I will get retainers and whitening! Can't wait to see the end result!!

Happy Friday!

Confessional Friday: {Link Up with A Blonde Ambition}

// I confess that I am really lusting after this Chanel fingernail polish. It's bright pink it's CHANEL! But it's also $27.00 dollars. Eeek!

// I confess that I am utterly OBSESSED with ostriches. I want a huge painting of an ostrich for my bedroom. I would wake up every morning with a huge smile on my face because they are hilarious!

// This also leads me to my lust for these notepads from Paper Source.

// I confess that my heart flutters when I look at my pretty princess mugs. They seriously make me happy!

// I confess that I ordered these pants from Forever 21 on a whim the other night. I have one pair of palazzo pants that I wear when we are on vacation or boating. They are comfortable but dressy when paired with a flowy tank and wedges. So easy yet chic!

That is all for my confessions. Time to get to work! Happy Friday, everyone!

Confessional Friday: Get To Know Me More

1. What's your middle name? Paige

2. If you could live anywhere else in the world where would you live? This is really tough for me. I really love where I live... Joplin and Lake of the Ozarks. I love the seasons and I love the people. But if I had to choose somewhere else I would probably go to South Florida.

3. Tell us about your guilty pleasures. Oh boy... watching YouTube videos of girls doing their makeup, a good margarita, shopping.

4. What do you like best about your job? If you weren't doing that, what career would you have pursued? What I like best about my job is that I don't have to drive to work and I can show up in my pj's. I like it that I don't have a solid schedule and I can sort of make my own schedule. If I wasn't doing this I think I would be in nursing school or med school. I always find myself intrigued by medicine and people's well-being.

5. Five items you'd grab during a fire. (People and pets don't count. Those are a given.) My purse, my cell phone, my dad's wedding band and Rolex, my external hard drive and our safe? Does a 1000 pound safe count as one item? :-)

6. Marathon running...something you'd like to pursue or just plain crazy? I would love to run a marathon but I do not like the thought of training for one. Maybe later in life I can see myself doing one.

7. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mexican food... chips and salsa and queso and guacamole with a steak burrito.

8. Last person you spoke to...annnnnd....go! Tyson

9. Favorite childhood toy I was pretty fond of Barbies and Pogs.

10. Breakfast cereal of choice I don't eat cereal for breakfast but I like to snack on dry Golden Grahams sometimes.

Easy Valentine's Day Gift Wrapping

As we all know Valentine's Day is right around the corner. And we also know that I am obsessed with wrapping gifts. So here is my take on Valentine's Day gift wrapping!
After Christmas I loaded up on wrapping paper but instead of buying all of the Christmasy stuff, I bought the solid colors and prints that could be used all year. So to make it festive for Valentine's Day I taped Hershey's kisses to the gifts!
I placed the kisses on the gift in the shape that I liked... a heart, of course. And then I just rolled the tape and  cut the pieces in half so that I could tape two kisses and the tape wouldn't show on the sides of the kisses.

I think this is a cute and easy way to wrap a Valentine's Day gift. Especially if you don't want to load your loved-one up with candy and chocolate. This way they just have a few little pieces of candy to munch on... not a huge bag full of sugar. Plus, it adds some dimension to the gift which I really like.
So grab some paper and kisses and get to wrapping!

Happy Tuesday!

Affordable Workout Gear

Hello friends! I've been meaning to post this for quite a while, so here it is!

Last year I spent about two months on the hunt for the perfect workout pants. I went to Old Navy, Target, Wal-Mart, Victoria's Secret, JC Penney, etc. I was looking for a capri leggings that were low rise with a little stretch. I also wanted to find something that was affordable so I could buy 3 or 4 pairs for less than $100.

I searched up and down and finally found these C9 Advanced Performance Capri Pants. I got one solid black pair and a dark heather grey pair with a blue waistband. (The grey and blue ones were on sale for $17.99.) I love these pants because they don't have the fold-over waistband that a lot of yoga and workout pants have. I also like them because they don't have a drawstring. Both the fold over and drawstring pants really bother me so I will not wear them. Also, I really like these pants because they are not fitted all the way through the knee. I don't care for tight seams that end right at the bend of my knee so these feel great. These are by far the most comfortable and flattering pair of workout pants I have ever bought.

They retail for $24.99 but I've seen them on the clearance racks before. Also, if you download the Cartwheel app, the entire C9 brand has sales that are usually 20% off. Right after the new year they had a 40% off sale so keep an eye out for that!

So after finding the perfect workout pants I got a few other items on a total whim that ended up being some of my favorite stuff.

The Danksin brand at Wal-Mart has really surprised me. I love their racerback tank. They are loose-fitted and have a lot of really cute colors for just under $6.00.

I also really like the Danskin brand sports bras. They are comfortable and hold my girls in place for my normal workouts. Two for $9.94 is a great buy!

Finally, the Danskin Performance Jacket is my jacket of choice to wear to the gym. First of all, it is a lightweight jacket that has THUMB HOLES. I love jackets with the hole for your thumb. It's like gloves attached to your jacket. Also, I got this jacket for $3.00 on the clearance rack at Wal-Mart. (I actually got two.)

Now, yes, I do know that these might not be the highest quality items and yes I know that you get what you pay for but I have had all of these items for around 6 months and they have held up. The key to keeping them nice is how you wash them. I only wash my workout clothes in warm/cold water and I never dry them in the dryer. I always hang dry my workout clothes.

So there you have a great workout outfit for right around $50 dollars. You will look cute and be comfortable so mark that off your list of excuses and get that booty to the gym!
