Our Wedding Day... The Reception

After the ceremony all of our guests went downstairs for a cocktail hours with appetizers and chips and salsa (our fave) so that our ceremony space could be transformed in to our reception space. It would so well!

Pastries by Carla made both of our cakes. They were both SO GOOD. She did a great job following my instructions with the fresh flowers in the 3-tier cake and with the "cake-topper" for Tyson's grooms cake. I was very specific on how I wanted his Swiss Cake Roll to be presented on the platter with the topper. It turned out exactly how I wanted and everyone loved it!

I made these Ferrero Rocher place cards for our guests out of toothpicks, labels, and cardstock. As they came upstairs there was a table that had each person's name with their table number. It made it very easy for everyone to find their seats.

Cantina Laredo catered our reception. They did an incredible job with the cocktail hour and the reception. The food was fresh and hot and set-up well so we could all make our tacos and get seated quickly.
Tyson and I love mexican food and we both knew we didn't want to have a traditional wedding meal. It was such an easy decision to have Cantina Laredo cater.

Mallory gave the best speech. Her and I have been best friends since 4th grade so about 18 years. We have been through so much together so she told some really funny stories and she also made me cry. She's the best.
Right after the speeches there was the most incredible sunset over the deck. We all went outside and got some of the best photos of the whole day.

After the beautiful sunset we cut the cakes!

One of our biggest reasons for having a small wedding was that we wanted to make sure we got to spend time with each and every one of our guests. It worked!

Our wedding day was my favorite day of my whole life! Everything went perfect and the stupid little things that weren't perfect don't matter. I had my husband and all of our closest friends and family there with us and that's what matters.
Family.
Friends.
Love.
And we have the best of all of those things.

Our Wedding Day... Portraits and Formals

These balloons... omg. Nightmare. If you plan on taking photos with balloons you better pray to the weather gods that there is no wind. And pray that your now husband doesn't tie the ribbons in double knots on to a dolly.

Tyson's cousin... still crying.
Now he's smiling!

We chose not to have a flower girl but I knew I would need help with handing out programs, helping serve welcome drinks, and showing people where the bathrooms were so I had one of the groomsmen's daughters help me. They were thrilled to have a task and were so excited to get their hair and makeup done and have matching dresses. I found these long modest dresses at Target and their mom added the cardigans to cover their shoulders. They looked beautiful.
This little dude is Sam. He is Tyson's sisters son... our nephew. He totally rocked it out as our ring bearer.

Our little family.
Siblings with their cousins.

Let's get to the party!
