Memorial Day Weekend

What a great weekend! Tyson and I got to the lake Friday night and we hit the ground running!

Saturday we went to the cove to hang out. It was a beautiful day!

Shady Gators/Lazy Gators was inSANE on Sunday. Every holiday weekend on Sunday, they have a party called "Rehydrate". It's a spin-off of a pool party out in Vegas. Anyway... it was a total blast!

Confessional Friday

I confess... I love to do laundry. Something about the satisfaction of having all of my clothes clean. And sheets... and towels... and rugs... and anything else that I can put in to the washing machine. Oh and I'm a freak about folding things. Must. Be. Perfect.

I confess... I am going to the lake this weekend! I know this may sound weird but I have been so busy and haven't got to spend much time at my home town, Lake of the Ozarks. I am so glad I get to see my lake friends!!

I confess... I am so excited to wear my new bikinis this weekend! I have a slight obsession with swimwear. I chalk it up to working on a gas dock for nine years so technically a bikini is my "uniform".

I'm can't wait to rock these two beauties.

I confess... I don't try on my outfits before I wear them. I mean I'll go shopping, pick out some cute pieces, visualize them with other things in my wardrobe, and hope it works out when I pull the trigger and wear them. Sometimes I get stressed out when things don't work together, but I REALLY don't care for trying clothes on and parading around the house to see if they look cute together.

I confess... It's time to hammer down. Gotta get this booty in SHAPE! It's summer and Mallory's wedding is right around the corner!!!!

Catching up!

Well crap. Another whole week without blogging. I swear I'll get better!!

Friday night I went to Grand Lake to hang out and get out of the house. I saw some friends and got some sun. Exactly what I needed!

Saturday after my poolside lounging, I went to Tyson's brother-in-laws graduation party which was pretty fun. Of course the most fun was seeing Mr. Sam. Here he is hanging out in his chair like a big kid.

Lastly, guess who has over 1000 pageviews!?!?

Confessional Friday

1. I confess, I hang up my bathing suits. Not just to dry after I wear them, but I put them on hangers in my closet. Yeah... they are just too darn pretty to be shoved away in a drawer. Oh... and I always keep my bikinis tied together so I never end up some where with only half of the set. It works brilliantly.

2. I confess, one of my three email inboxes is completely empty. I mean I don't store any emails in my inbox. I either file them or delete them. I didn't think this was weird until I saw a friends iPhone and they had over 200 emails waiting to be opened. The other two are organized very nicely, but a few messages (less than 10) must stay in the inbox for daily reminders.

3. I confess, I watch "The Nanny" at night when I can't sleep. Fran Drescher is down right hilarious. Now, I will say... back in the 90's when The Nanny first aired, I was not impressed... I was also only 13 years old, but now it's just flat out funny!

4. I confess... I just ate about 20 of those little hashbrown/tator tots from Hardee's. Crap.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was Mallory's bridal shower! I had a great time in Columbia and the shower was great!

We went out Friday night and I tell ya, I think I'm getting old. I was soooo tired! Ready for bed at 10pm!

Saturday afternoon I snuck down to the the gas dock to see Melissa and as I was walking down, Steve and Sierra were pulling in to get gas. Yay!! Love my Sierra!

And of course Rusty was out enjoying the beautiful rainy day.

Good weekend! And it's official... summer is HERE!

This is how my day is going:

Anywho. I ran again this morning. YAY! I downloaded this app a few days ago called "My Fitness Pal" and I really like it. You log what you eat for each meal, how much you work out, and how much water you drink daily. If you don't have someone to hold you accountable for what you eat and how often you workout, this app sure does a good job! I have read in numerous articles saying that if you keep a "food diary" you will start to eliminate the unnecessary foods from your diet. Sounds good to me!

Tomorrow I probably won't have time to blog so here is my crazy schedule:

7:00am - Dentist. Yay! not.

10:00am - Shower & pack

12:00pm - Eat lunch

1:00pm - drive to Columbia

5:00pm - Have dinner with one of my good friends from college, Tamara

7:00pm - Head to Mallory's house!! Woo hoo!! Sleep over!!

9:00pm - Have some drinks

11:00pm - bed time. haha what a joke

Then Saturday is MALLORY'S BRIDAL SHOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sara and I have had a lot of fun planning this amazing ladies bridal shower and I can't wait to see it all come together!!

Fun items I recently purchased...

I have been dying to get this mug since last December. When I was shopping for Christmas gifts, I ran across it and thought it would be a great gift for my fellow coffee/tea drinkers. When I called Tiffany's to order it, they said it was not available. It was back ordered until MARCH! I was so sad!

When we went to Vegas, I was sure that one of the 483,928,592 Tiffany stores in Vegas would have one. I checked at two of the stores and they didn't have it so I gave up on finding it in Vegas.

I guess I got lucky when I called to order some items because they had it in stock!

It came packaged perfectly in the little big blue box with a white satin ribbon. (Which I now have on display in my office.) The quality of the mug is outstanding. I love the size, and that it doesn't weigh a lot compared to a standard coffee mug.

At my random outing to the mall on Monday, I wandered in to Charlotte Russe and found these beauties. Go Tigers! I'm not a big fan of bracelets and definitely not bangles but these were too cute to pass up! Only $5.00! Yay!

Oh and I ran again today!

Well more power walking than running. Oh well.

I have been one lazy mother fcker lately. No kidding. Well not in general, just when it comes to running.

My first excuse was my shoes... got new shoes.

Second excuse was it being too hot... it's cooler in the morning.

Third excuse was my music is old... it's still old but that's okay.

Alright out of excuses! So just do it, Tristan!

I perused Pinterest last night looking for some motivational posters, got a few ideas, and made this simple yet LOUD print out. I taped it on the wall beside my bed last night and when I woke up this morning, I drank some iced coffee, changed my clothes, and headed out the door. I didn't run the whole two miles... I walked, probably, 1.5 of those miles but at least I wasn't laying in bed til 10am, RIGHT!?

I suggest, if you find yourself stuck in a rut or without any motivation, try this simple/free/easy method. It might work for you, too. :-)

Las Vegas and Lake Havasu

Just got back from Vegas and Havasu. Well actually we got back five days ago but my life is just now back in order.

What a trip.

Driving from Missouri to Nevada is not fun. Especially when you are hauling a humongous boat.

Anyway.

This was my first trip to Vegas so I had to get a lot done in three days. I got to see the Peepshow with Holly Madison and I LOVED it. I also got to see Cirque Du Soleil Mystere. We wandered the Vegas streets for two days and I think I saw almost everything. I was exhausted.

Somewhere in Caesar's Palace. That place is HUGE!

We visited the dolphin habitat which was probably my favorite part of the whole trip. I can't be away from water for very long and considering the Nevada has very little water, this did the trick!

Tyson just had to go to the "Heart Attack Grill". He got a cheeseburger and I got a margarita... that was half booze. They really are trying to kill you! :-)
