These Boots Were Made For Walkin'

I have wanted a pair of cowboy boots for, oh, about 100 years. Okay just kidding... for a long time. I just never found a pair that were "me". I also had a lot of trouble finding a pair that fit me right. I have a really high arch and wear a size 9 or 10 typically. I love the Corral boots but they are pretty pricey and I guess a blessing in disguise because none of them would fit on my foot. On my birthday I went to Cavender's to see if anything new screamed my name. I tried on damn near every cute boot in that place and none of them fit me. I was ready to give up and found this boot on the end-cap.
I fell in LOVE. They have a taller shaft than most cowboy boots and a partial inside zipper. They also have a riding boot look to them.

I ended up buying them the next day and they have been screaming my name from inside their happy little home box for the last three weeks. I couldn't stand to go another day without wearing them.
They are the Ariat Sahara.
It's 86 degrees outside and I don't give a sh!t. I am wearing my damn boots!
I just threw on some American Eagle cutoff jean shorts, a tank top, and a tunic-tee from Target.
Hair is up in a bun because it's hot and it hasn't been washed today... not gonna lie. Tan legs are by Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs.

If you are in the market for some super comfortable cowboy boots that are stylish but still look like nice boots, get these!

Outfit of the Day: Boho Casual

Today was a busy day. I woke up and hit the ground running! Did some office work, had a quick lunch, then headed to Fayetteville for an orthodontist appointment.

My outfit today was inspired by two things.
1. Amber Fillerup Clark aka Barefoot Blonde and
2. My new henna tattoo.
Amber has gorgeous long blonde hair that looks so effortless. She usually has beachy waves or braids which prompted me to try this look.

Yesterday I went and got a henna tattoo. When I got my eyebrows threaded a few weeks ago I saw that they did henna, also. I thought about it for a little while then just went to the mall last night and had her go to town. I LOVE how it turned out.
Not all of the henna is at it's full color yet. The darkest color will be at 48 hours after application.
Also, I've been loving these expandable bracelets from Target. They are similar to the Alex and Ani bracelets but at a fraction of the price.

Tank: Mossimo from Target
Shorts: Boyfriend Midi's from American Eagle
Belt: Dillard's from a long time ago
Flip Flops: Havaiana
Bracelets: Target
Sunglasses and Necklace: Old Navy

Memorial Day Weekend

My Memorial Day weekend was amazing! We left last Wednesday and flew to Miami for a long weekend of boating. Thursday Tyson and I worked on Freedom all day long. That is one of the most un-glamorous parts of boating, but it is worth it!

The next day we looked at a boat that Jim (Jim is our friend who owns Freedom) is thinking about buying. It was one of the few opportunities to wear something that I wouldn't be sweating my ass off in.

One of my favorite parts of visiting Miami with our friend is that we don't stay in a hotel. We stay on his boat at Miami Beach Marina.
Sunglasses: Old Navy
Romper: Old Navy
Necklace: Old Navy
Wedges: Ugg
Purse: Louis Vuitton

After the looking over the boat, we jumped on Freedom for lunch.
Bathing Suit: Luli Fama

Then that evening we went to Prime Fish for some amazing seafood. I think I ate my weight in oysters.

Saturday we went to Gilbert's. It's a restaurant about 50 miles south of Miami in Key Largo.

After lunch we went back to Mr. Happy to shower and go to the Miami Heat game.

I had a little fun with my cotton candy.

Me, Felicia, and Jim

The Heat game was so much fun! Plus they won!!

On Saturday we went to Nixon Sandbar. We took both boats so we anchored Mr. Happy and made ourselves comfortable!
I was so excited. I got to go on my first dinghy ride!

My friend Yvonne made a video of our sandbar fun!

Sunday night we just relaxed and had a nice dinner at Monty's.

Monday we got up early to look at the boat Jim wants to buy again. I think he's getting serious!
The boat is beautiful and is definitely and upgrade from Mr. Happy so I am not opposed to this purchase!

When we arrived back to the marina we noticed the fishing boat was slicing up their daily catch. It was a 160 pound swordfish. They gave us some fillets to have for dinner. Talk about fresh!

That was a perfect ending to our weekend in South Beach! Great dinner with great company.

Tuesday we got up bright and early to a beautiful rain storm. I love rain. It's so calming!
Bye Mr. Happy!
Lucky for us, Jim offered to fly us home in his plane. Flying private is so much less stressful than flying commercial so I obviously said yes!

We got home yesterday afternoon and now we have one week to prepare for our next trip: the Jacksonville River Rally poker run. Talk about being busy! Whew!

OOTD!

I never do outfit-of-the-day's because usually I am wearing running shorts and a t-shirt. Today I got a little crazy and put on some cute clothes. Check it out!
 Jacket: Danier
I got this jacket when we were in Canada. I absolutely fell in love with the style, color, and detail. It is so comfortable and is just perfect over a tank dress on a cool day.
 Dress: Target
I have been searching for a basic black tank high-low dress for a few months. I like high-low dresses better than short dresses because they cover enough to wear around the shop and to run errands. I also prefer them over maxi dresses because they are easier to move around in. I got this dress at Target for $29.99 but I can't find it on their website!
Flip Flops: Old Navy
I got these flip-flops from Old Navy a few weeks ago. I love them because of the small rhinestone detail and the strap that goes around my heel. They are very comfortable! I got the bronze also because they were 2 pairs for $15.00.

Sunglasses: Sunglass Hut
I've had these sunglasses for about a year and they are my absolute favorite! They are light weight, sturdy, and don't squeeze my head. Lol! I can't find a link to them... sorry!

Happy Thursday!
