Oh, How Pinteresting!

Today I am linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple for "Oh, How Pinteresting!"

This is where I gush about all things I love/found on Pinterest!

I love this leopard print scarf... must find one! And these purple pants are killer!

Haha this is so true! I just now learned to use one cup of uncooked dry pasta per person.

This high-low skirt is adorable... mixed with the pastel scarf and wedges, I love!

I live by this. I love my white sheets and white towels!

How to look better naked... yes please!

This is my working vision for one of the walls in the garage. Easy to access tubs that are labeled for holidays and various items.

I love this hair color. It's my natural color with blonde highlights throughout. Not too harsh and oh-so pretty!

I am loving the stark white desk, walls, and curtain with the pop of pink and leopard carpeting! I want a pink chair for my vanity room!!

This bathroom is killer... I love the pearlescent tile on the wall and the hot pink chair.

This hairstyle is too cute!

Five Things

I saw this little Q&A sesh over at two of my favorite blogs.

Of course I must participate even though I'm sure most of you don't give two sh!ts!

Let's begin!!

five things...

...you'll find in my purse
1. iPhone
2. Wallet
3. Coach Pill Case with Advil, Benadryl, and Pseudoephed (no I'm not a drug dealer)
4. digital camera
5. Eos lip balm

...you'll find in my bedroom
1. hand lotion
2. a bottle of water
3. iPad
4. Vick's Vapor Rub
5. Eos lip balm

...I've always wanted to do
1. go to Brazil
2. learn ballet
3. Go on a vacation to a tropical destination and do absolutely NOTHING! We always have an agenda when we go to Miami and it drives me nuts because all I really want to do is lay on the beach!
4. buy a Ferrari
5. design my own home

...I'm currently loving
1. Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation
2. Dove Body Wash Pomegranate & Lemon Verbana. It smells SO GOOD!
3. YouTube-- makeup collections, vanity tours, tutorials, and hauls
4. TJ Maxx and JC Penney. Sales are my favorite!
5. Jennifer Lawrence. She is hilarious!

...quirks I have
1. I have to fall asleep with the TV on... but it can't be just anything... it has to be something I have seen before like Keeping Up With the Kardashians or Pawn Stars.
2. When I order tea at a restaurant, I order a "half-and-half"... half sweet, half unsweet. I don't like unsweet tea and I also don't like it when I pour sweetener in to my tea and it all settles on the bottom.
3. I turn everything off before I get out of my car. My stereo, seat heaters, climate control, headlights, EVERYTHING! Tyson hates it. i'm weird.
4. I cannot go to bed until I take off all of my makeup and brush my teeth.
5. When I go to Wal-Mart or Sam's and I get a sucky cart, I will go back and find another one that doesn't have a bum wheel. I absolutely hate it when I am shopping and I have a cart going "thump thump thump thump". Such a distraction!

That's all for now. It snowed last night so I am still in my pajamas... and I have no intentions of changing any time soon!

Happy Tuesday!

Makeup Vanity Room Update!

I am finally making some progress!! I bought the Alex 9 Drawer Unit when I was in Orlando.

I also bought some of these drawer organizers. $1.99, yes please!

And then last night I ordered the Micke desk! I wanted the solid white desk but it was out-of-stock online and not in any of the stores near me!

Near me meaning 4-5 hours away.
Yes I would have driven that far to buy it.
Yes I am crazy.

So I ordered the white with the birch effect.
If I hate the way it looks with the other solid white furniture then I will just paint it white to match.

I still need to buy the Pax Wardrobe for the crap we store on that ugly wire shelf. I am going to wait to order that after we have the drawers and desk assembled. I want to be 100% sure that it will fit. If my measurements are correct, I think I have 3" of room to spare.

I also found this little mirrored container at TJ Maxx that I could not pass up. It will look so cute on my vanity!

Now I am shopping for paint colors. I know I want something neutral because the hallway outside this room is solid red with black trim. I am thinking something like a greige (grey + beige).
---------------------------------------

---------------------------------------

I am going to paint the trim white because I am a white-trim-whore. My mom taught me that white trim is timeless and classic. Tyson painted every square inch of trim in his house BLACK. What is with men and BLACK TRIM!?

Anywho...

After we get the desk and drawers assembled and placed in the room, I am going to buy this lighting.
And a mirror like this.
And then I need a chair!
I think one like this will work...
or this...

or I am just dreaming and I will end up with this...
lmao... kidding...
at least I hope I'm kidding.

I found some new inspirations to keep me going...

That's all for today. Have a great Saturday!!

Welcome to Blogland, Mallory!

Can I get a warm welcome for Mallory and her new blog Memoirs of a Missouri Girl?

clap clap clap YAAAAAYYY

She joined the riot!

I'm so glad Mallory started her blog! Now I can really stalk her every move! ha

Mallory and I go waaaaay back.

We met in 4th grade.
I hated her guts.
She thought I was crazy.
By 5th grade we were best friends.
I basically moved in to her house that year.
6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grade we were still besties.
11th grade I joined the dance team so we could shake it together.
Continued to shake it through 12th grade.
then we went to college...
Different colleges...
She went to Mizzou and I went to SFCC.
But that didn't stop us!
We had dinner over Christmas break...
I helped her in a pageant...
We went to friends' weddings...
She came to my homecoming...
and then her boyfriend, Seth, proposed!
And she asked me to be her maid-of-honor!
Then last summer I was in her wedding!

plus so much more!!

Lookin friggin sexy in middle school.

Mallory and I at Dixie's... I think she this was the day she went brown for Golden Girl tryouts.

Summer of 2007 we were gas dock attendants at Millstone
...tough job... lol

In '08 I ran for homecoming queen (and lost) but Mal came to support me!

And Mallory won Miss Dogwood a few months later!

Last summer I made her this awesome penis cake for her bachelorette party.

And she got married a few months later!
You will love her... trust me! She is so down-to-earth, honest, caring, and oh-so-sweet. She is in her last year of veterinary school, has an adorable doggy named PJ, and she knows how to castrate horses.
She has an auctioneering-reffing-coaching husband, an eye for fashion, and a Kitchen-Aid mixer. You will want her to be your best friend, too!

Miami Boat Show and Randoms

Hi friends! It is absolutely disgusting in Missouri right now... apparently we had a thunder-snow-storm. I don't know and I don't care what that means but I do know that I don't like it.
Snow = Gross
Now that it is clear that I don't like snow let's get on with this.

The day my dad passed away I ordered a necklace with his monogram. It came in the mail the day before we left for Florida and I could not be more happy with it. I ordered the 18mm Double Hole Gold Disc with the Vine Interlock font. I also had "1-21-2013" engraved on the back. I absolutely love it and I have worn it every day since I got it.
We left Friday the 8th and drove all the way to Atlanta. That drive freakin' sucks. We made it to the hotel where we met Chris (the crazy guy that did the Bermuda Challenge with Tyson). He had to rent a car and drive from Virginia Beach because he had to bring a bunch of the gear they use for these world record runs. This "gear" includes life rafts, medical kits, and fuel bladders. Yes I said fuel bladders. I walked in our room and it reeked of diesel fuel. Sweet. I'm gonna get high on diesel all night long!

I was so tired and wanted to go to sleep so bad but I did manage to get a pic of my jewelry dump.
We made it to Miami on Saturday night. My dear friend Farrah invited us to stay with her and Allan in Coconut Grove. I love staying with friends. It's so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel room. Plus I get to do my own laundry which I might enjoy more than the trip itself. (haha)

Sunday we went to the sand bar on this beauty.
She's a 90' yacht named "Mia". Allan is the captain and Farrah is the stewardess. There is also a chef and a first mate on board. I was honored when they asked me if I wanted to help work that day! Farrah and I were both "stews" for the yacht owner. He had about 20 of his friends on board and we had so much fun! All we really had to do was serve drinks and clean up after the meals. Easiest $150 I have ever made!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we ran errands and picked up friends from the airport. We also picked up Farrah's new car and some crazy lady almost wrecked in to us the FIRST NIGHT she had the car. Looked to me like she was texting or something STUPID. Driving in Florida is crazy!

Wednesday and Thursday we went to the boat show. Tyson and Chris accepted an award from Boating Magazine for their Bermuda Challenge record.
There were some crazy boats!!
I love the teak wood floor in this Skater. So elegant!
This 52' MTI is named "Black Diamond". It was a custom build but you can have one for yourself for around $2.5 million dollars. No big deal.
A couple of friends from Oklahoma bought Cigarette Center Consoles. We were testing the boat out to make sure it was party-worthy.
(If you give one damn about professional football, towards the bottom right in this picture, the guy in the pink button-front shirt is Albert Haynesworth. He's mostly known for his career with the Washington Redskins.)
Saturday it absolutely POURED. ALL DAY LONG.
Sunday I got to work on Mia again. It was an interesting group that chartered the boat. They were nightclub owners from Las Vegas and strippers. They were mostly hungover and exhausted from partying til 6am the night before and I overheard one of them say they spent $98,000 at the club that night. Freakin' ridiculous!

Anywho... me on Mia...
The sunset that night was gorgeous...
Monday we ventured to the boat show for a few hours and I finally got to go to the Mac Pro store on Lincoln Road. Thank you Baby Jesus because I have been DYING to try the Studio Fix Fluid foundation. I blogged about road-tripping for it back in August.
I'm NW20 if any of you care...

And I got to go to Ikea! It was absolutely NUTS in there. People are CRAY! I was searching for all the pieces for my vanity room... remember that wet dream I had a few months ago where I thought I could get Tyson to help me build a vanity?

It's slowly happening. They didn't have most of the pieces I needed but I did leave with the Alex 9 Drawer unit and a bunch of drawer organizers.

The trip was a pretty good time but we didn't get to stay for the poker run. We have way too much stuff going on at home to be gone for over two weeks. I actually didn't even go for a boat ride that was faster than 20mph. I was not about to hop in the boat with these two fools.

If you are patient enough (I'm not) to watch the whole video you will see where they stuffed the boat through a wave and lost two of our GoPro's. $800 dollars overboard. Sweet.

And about my vlogging... I filmed A LOT of good stuff. Now comes the hard part... editing.

I'll let you know when the video is finished... hopefully by the end of the month!

Wish me luck!
