Poker Runs

Poker runs are a huge part of my life. You are probably wondering...

"What the hell is a poker run?"

Well wonder no more.

A poker run is an organized event where participants, usually using motorcycles, boats, or horses, must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. (Thanks Wikipedia)

Tyson and I haul these boats to the events. That is a HUGE job. The boat we typically haul is 46' and weighs about 15,000lbs. Think parade... we hog the road and don't mind doing it. The paint jobs on these bad boys can cost upwards of $60,000 and scratching them isn't exactly fun.

So what happens when we get to these poker runs?

We go fast.

Like 150mph fast.

And I LOVE it!!

This is an aerial shot from the Shootout 2011 which just so happens to be MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!! Yay!!
(I am in the white and blue boat parking next to the green boat.)

Here we are in Miami heading to Key West! Yes, we drove to Key West in the boat!! One of my favorite poker runs BY FAR!!
(I'm that bozo with my arm straight up in the air.)
