I'm back!

Has it really been 10 days since my last post? Whew! Time flies when you are having fun boating.

Here are some more pics of our adventure in Miami and Key West!

This is the yacht some friends of mine from Oklahoma chartered... her name is "Mia" and she is GORGEOUS!

We party.

13 people in Freedom headed to the island!

We made it! Boca!

Best island party EVER!

I love my girls!

So much fun!

Blondes have more fun!

Bye Key West... until next time!

We actually got home on the 11th but my head has been spinning ever since.

I have been to Wal-Mart twice in the passed two days which gives me a headache in itself.

I had to go birthday present shopping for Mr. Sam's first birthday.
kid is spoiled

Don't worry... I got us adults some presents for his birthday, too

I've been cleaning the house which means I have been cleaning cat litter boxes.
yuck

I finally bought QuickBooks Pro for the business. This in itself is about to make me go nutso. I am no accountant and I'm about freaking tired of looking at receipts all the time. Gotta get this biz organized.

Oh and we have been working on our fish tank. We did a little maintenance on it yesterday which involved extreme amounts of dust which of course I am allergic to so I got sick as a dog and I currently feel like total crap. Yay me.
What you don't see any fish in our 1600 gallon fish tank? That's because there are only two in there. We are currently working on that problem.

Alright that is all I have for today. I'll catch up on my 30 Days of Thanks later on when my head isn't pounding from all of this fun sinus pressure.

I'm in Miami, trick!

Haha I had too.

Sunday I flew out of Joplin to Dallas to Miami and my flight landed around 11:30 so it was a pretty boring night.
Yesterday (Monday) we got everything situated on the boat. We are staying on Jim's 65' Johnson. It's a beautiful boat! After getting everything put away, we hopped in the Cigarette and went to lunch!

After lunch we relaxed a bit and then walked around South Beach to people watch and shop. I love people watching as much as I love shopping so it was pretty fun! I found a super cute suit at Beach Bunny which info course had to get. We ate dinner at Mango's which was extremely yummy and a ton of fun to watch the ladies sing and dance!

Today Katie and I are going to lay out, do a little more shopping, and do laundry. Tomorrow the boat leaves at 5am for Key West!

And for my 30 Days of Thanks...
Day 5: I am thankful for Tyson and all of the great adventures he takes me on. He loves to show me new things and places.

Day 6: I am thankful for Jim, and all the great things he does for Tyson and I. Not just anybody will invite someone to Miami and Key West to spend 10 days on a yacht and powerboating in the ocean. We work very hard to make sure the speed boats are ready when Jim is ready but in return he is very grateful and the most humble man I know.

Have a fun Tuesday, ladies!!!

Three Favorite Makeup Products for $1.00 or Less

Hello lovelies!
I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off getting ready to leave for MIAMI!!! Sooo I wrote this last night and decided I would try out this "scheduled post" thing. I've never done this before!
You probably aren't as excited as I am...

Anywho...

I've been thinking about this post for quite a while now. I have a few makeup products that I bought on a whim and have turned out to be the most fabulous products EVER. I use these products EVERY DAY!

First Favorite Makeup Product for $1.00 or Less
Oh. Em. Gee.
This powder is $0.79.
LESS THAN A DOLLAR!!
It does pretty amazing things with my cray-cray brows.
See Exhibit 1-3
Pic 1: This is what my eyebrows look like when I wake up. Crazy, unruly eyebrows. Drives me nuts.
Pic 2: Eyebrows after using that sweet powder. I use the ELF Defining Eye Brush to apply the powder to the thicker part of my brows and then I use the EcoTools Angled Eyeliner Brush for the narrow part.
Pic 3: My eyebrows after I put on my

Second Favorite Makeup Products for $1.00 or Less
This mascara holds my brows in place all day. It is not too wet and does not soak my brows with mascara like other clear mascaras. It is the perfect consistency to hold each hair in place!
And it's only a dollar!

My Third Favorite Makeup Product for $1.00 or Less is
This is the only eyeliner I use for my top lash-line anymore. It is the most amazing felt-tip eyeliner. It does not crease or smear and it has terrific color payoff. And it lasts alllllll day!

I get my ELF products from Target but you can order them from the website, as well. Sign up for their newsletter because they are always having really great sales!

So do you have any great beauty products that are $1.00?
Please share!!

And for my 30 Days of Thanks link-up...
Day 4: Today I am thankful for my mom. She is very intelligent, loving, and always worried about me... like a normal ma! She has been taking amazing care of my dad... feeding tubs, dressing changes, IV bags... all of which are things a nurse would usually take care of. She took the initiative and learned how to do everything so my dad could be comfortable at home. Thanks mom! Love you!

Happy Saturday!

What a great day so far!
I slept in, watched some TV, made my bed, drank a cup of coffee, ate an eggy sandy, and finished making Dixie's website.

Speaking of building websites... did you know you can use Blogger to build business websites? I've built three now! Let me know what you think... I built this one for my stylist, Dixie.

It was really easy and actually really fun to create!

Oh and Dixie did my nails with the new shellac system. What do you think? Have you tried it yet?
I chose this bright coral since I'm going to Florida!

Guess what?
Tomorrow I leave for Miami/Key West!
I gotta get up bright and early, drive to Joplin, pack (ugh), then catch my flight and head to Miami!

Packing... ugh...
Am I the only one who hates to pack? It really stresses me out. I am not the type of person who can pack one outfit per day so I end up with waaaaay too much stuff. I am going to try really hard to limit myself on what I bring. One carry-on and one checked bag. Pray to baby Jesus my checked bag doesn't weigh more than 50 pounds!

So who else has started their Christmas shopping?
I made a little list of some "must buy" gifts for a few family and friends... and then of course I had to start making my Christmas Wishlist!

So far my list consists of a few Sigma makeup brushes...
F80 Flat Kabuki, F05 Small Contour, E25 Blending, and the Travel Cup Holder

Mini Bailey Button Black Uggs

aaaaand that's it so far...

Before I go I want you to see this pic that made me LOL
Haha!!! Isn't that so funny!!

Oh and today is day three of my 30 Days of Thanks link-up! Feel free to join me any time!!

Day 3: I am thankful for my dad. He has taught me so much about life. He helps guide me through new experiences so I don't make the same mistakes he has made. The passed few months he has been fighting cancer and I continue to thank God for everyday he is with us!

(and right now he is sitting in his recliner, taking a nap, and snorrrrrring away! Lol!)

Confessional Friday {Link Up with A Blonde Ambition}

I confess that it is a bad idea to wake me up from a nap. I will be SUPER grumpy.

I confess that I am already Christmas shopping... and I was planning my list last month.

I confess that I am a crappy OOTD picture taker. Remember here where I bought that pink shirt from Wal-Mart and I promised an OOTD? Well here it is...
Picture taken at Best Buy... don't judge me.

Top: Wal-Mart
Skirt: Express... it was my moms and she bought it about 15 years ago
Leggings: Ross
Boots: Enzo Angiolini "Saylem" purchased from Nordstrom

I confess that I am now officially a nerd bomber. AKA... I have glasses... and contacts.
Now I can see and stuff.

I confess that I made some custom Tervis Tumblers for Key West.
Boat drinks... classy as hell.

I leave for Miami on Sunday and then off to Key West on Wednesday. I hope there is a little relaxation in there but I'm not gonna lie... boats are a lot of work!

And for my 30 Days of Thanks...
Day 2: I am thankful for fried egg sandwiches. My mom makes a mean egg sandy. After a cup of coffee a fried egg sandy starts my day!

Have a great weekend ladies!

30 Days of Thanks {Link Up}

About 25 seconds ago I decided I would do a link-up for the month of November.
(Tons of planning, I know.)

I want to post 30 things that I am thankful for and would love it for you to link-up with me and share what you are thankful for, too!
I will probably not post one item per day. I might post three things I am thankful for one day and then one the next day. However I do it, I will end up with 30 things I am thankful for.

You can post yours any way that you prefer, all I ask is that you take time to really think about what you are thankful for.

Let's begin!

Day 1: I am thankful for my strength. I have learned over the last few months that my family readily relies on my assertiveness and strength of mind. I am also the voice of reason to my loved ones.

I WON!!!

Yaaaay! I won the Graphic Image Desk Diary giveaway over at Style Me Swanky!

Here is a photo of Megan's Graphic Image desk diary.

So many colors to choose from!
At first I liked the gold one but now the pink one catches my eye. They are all so beautiful!

I'm so excited! I love stationary of all sorts... that includes notepads, journals, cards, you get the point. I will get tons of use out of this little gem!

Thanks Megan and Graphic Image!
