Arch Support for your Uggs

I know I am like four months late on this post but... better late than never, right?

If you wear Uggs a lot you probably have a little bit of foot pain at the end of the day. It isn't stabbing foot pain, more of just a sore, worn out feeling. This is because Uggs offer little-to-no support to your feet. The bottom sole of an Ugg boot is completely flat. The bottom of your foot is not. That's where these little babies come in really handy!
I found these Dr. Scholl's gel inserts at Target about a year ago. (Target no longer has them so I buy them at Wal-Mart.) I bought a pair of these inserts for my tennis shoes that started to hurt my feet. I also put them in my Converse's.
Earlier this winter I was wearing my Uggs and at the end of the day my feet were sore. It dawned on me to put these inserts in my boots, so the next day I tried it. It made a world's difference!
These inserts are really easy to slide in and out of your boots. They have grey fabric on top and are gelly on the bottom. They are $8.76 per pair at Wal-Mart.
The fur insoles in your Uggs does not stick to the gel.
I seriously can not wear my Uggs without them now!

This review is NOT sponsored by Ugg or by Dr. Scholl's. All of these opinions are my own and I paid for everything with my own money.

Confessional Friday: {Link Up with A Blonde Ambition}

Happy Friday y'all! And by happy Friday I mean I can't wait for this day to be over! I have been in a pissy mood for the last 48 hours and I am SO over it. Actually, at this very moment, I am in an better mood. Let's call it a 7 on the 1-10 mood scale.

I confess / / I went to the final days of the VS semi-annual sale and only spent $54 dollars. This is much better than last year when I spent $150 dollars.

I confess / / that I was pretty pumped when I listed a used boat steering wheel for sale, got an offer, and had it sold in less than 15 minutes. I had to ship it and the only box I had that it would fit in was an old DirecTV box so I wrapped it in brown contractor's paper. When I got to UPS the girl told me that UPS does not allow boxes to be wrapped and that she would have to remove the paper. Not really a big deal but it rubbed me the wrong way because I am all about presentation!

I confess / /  that I bought six pairs of wedges from Target.com and I am not one bit ashamed of it.

I confess / / I have been doing really well and going to the gym every other day. And then today I ate a bunch of chinese food for lunch. Damnit.

I confess / / that this cracked me up!

I confess / / I have been cleaning out closets and preparing to do a huge purge of crap I have accumulated. I really can not believe the amount of stuff I have. It kind of makes me want to yack. (And now I sound like a luny-bag because I just told you I bought six pairs of wedges.)

I confess / / we are going to Miami in mid February and I have started tanning. I ordered this lotion in hopes that it would get me really dark with fewer tanning sessions. We shall see!

I confess / / that I am 26 years old and am just now realizing that my eyes are not blue... or hazel. They are grey. WOW! I seriously had no idea.

I confess / / that it really pisses me off that Facebook thinks I want to watch every video on my NewsFeed. Quit it Facebook. I do not want to see all these damn videos. And if I do, I can click the play button all by my big girl self.

23 Reasons Why I Can't Get a Damn Thing Done

I have a huge to-do list and I feel like my brain is drowning in ideas, events, things to do, etc. Please tell me I am not alone! Today I started thinking about why I can't manage to get anything done and this is what I came up with...

1. I have an iPhone.
2. I need a pedicure.
4. We are down to 10 rolls of toilet paper so I need to go to Target.
5. Target has 36 clearance racks and I need to go through all of them.
6. Pinterest.
7. Instagram.
8. Makeup tutorials YouTube.
9. It's cold outside.
10. I'm tired.
11. I need more supplies.
12. I have to much to do and I can't focus.
13. I can't drink coffee all day long to keep me energized. (Thanks Invisalign!)
14. Facebook.
15. The Bachelor.
16. Funny cat videos.
17. I'm hungry.
18. I need to get my nails done.
19. I have to take a shower.
20. I need to find a red coffee mug with white hearts on it for Valentine's day.
21. I have a headache.
22. GMA is on TV.
23. I need to pet the cat.

This is just a handful of the crap that I end up doing instead of preparing our taxes or cleaning the kitchen floor.

And in case you were wondering about the funny cat video, here it is...

Christmas Catch-Up

Christmas was different this year. It was the first year of my life that I didn't wake up in the same house as my mom. She insisted I stay in Joplin and celebrate with Tyson's family and then come up a few days later to celebrate with her. It nearly broke my heart and I cried my eyes out Christmas Eve night. I spoke to my mom a lot on the phone that day and come nightfall, we were both so emotional about us not being together and about my dad not being there. He loved Christmas so much and always went out of his way to surprise mom and I with really thoughtful, funny gifts. It was so hard. I got these angel wings as a reminder that he is still with me, just in a different way. I miss him so much!

What kept me going was the excitement I had to give my loved one's their gifts. I get really engulfed in giving people gifts that are...

1. Surprises
2. Unique
3. Useful

I got Sam this oversize stuffed frog and he nearly shat himself when he opened it! He loved it so much!
I also stayed busy wrapping a lot of gifts. I put a lot of thought in to wrapping gifts. I love it! I probably wrapped around 100 gifts this year for myself and others.
Right after Christmas Tyson informed me that we had to go to New York City to get the boat. It was shipped over from Bermuda and he had to pick it up stat. We left on the 27th and spent the New Year in New York. I'll post about that later. So I have yet to celebrate Christmas with my mom. Bums me out but it's just how it goes sometimes. I planned on going to see her today but the weather is terrible and roads are just too unsafe to drive on. I also need to meet my bestie Mallory for our little Christmas get together! Christmas will be over when I say it's over!

I hope you all had a great holiday and are staying warm! It's a whopping -1 degrees outside today.

Confessional Friday: {Link Up with A Blonde Ambition}

Woo hooo!!! It's Confessional Friday!

// I confess that my to-do list is a mile long.

// I confess that I went to Times Square for New Years Eve. Yes. I was one of those crazies.

// I confess that I spent $350 dollars on Christmas clearance stuff. This included 22 rolls of wrapping paper.

// I confess that I really want this backdrop set-up. (With white vinyl, not green.) I want to use it to take pictures for my blog, stuff I'm selling on eBay, and for the parts we make in the shop. I think it would be a really good investment for $150 bucks.

// I confess that I bought my first MAC lipstick last week... Girl About Town. Love a bright pink lip!

// I confess that I am going to start a small business. Just me. All by myself. More to come on this later! (Anyone have a good graphic designer?)

// I confess that I'm pretty stoked to see Britney Spears in Las Vegas with Mallory this spring!!

// I confess that I still have four more Christmas' to celebrate. Christmas will be over when I say it's over!

Happy Friday, girls!

Happy Friday!

It's Friday the 13th... dun dun duuuuuun...

Kidding. I'm not superstitious. If I were superstitious I wouldn't have dropped Boo Boo off for surgery this morning. He's having his cancer removed... for the second time. He was pretty pissed when I took him to the vet but he will get over it. As long as he gets his wet food when he gets home he will like me again.

I'm sipping coffee right now as it rains. It's about 35 degrees outside so no snow... just rain. I have a lot on my schedule today so I need to go shower and get ready but I wanted to leave you with some pictures I have taken with my Black Friday steal. My Nikon D7000. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

Let's Play Catch Up!

I feel like I've totally deserted ya'll. It's been nearly a month since I've written anything, so let's catch up!

  • Right after I got back from Key West we celebrated Sam's 2nd birthday. It was a monster theme which I thoroughly enjoyed!

  • Then the following weekend Tyson's family and I went to Branson. We stayed at the Suites at Falls Creek which was lovely and we saw the Dixie Stampede!

We also did a lot of shopping and on the last day we had brunch at the Worman House. This restaurant is amazing and has a huge brunch buffet. This is what I had for breakfast...
Yes that's a bloody mary, coffee, champagne, oysters, and pastries.
  • The next week was Thanksgiving which was great! My mom came down to Joplin and we had dinner at Neely's. This was the first time my mom had met anyone in Tyson's family. Everyone got along so well and my mom was very sad to leave!

  • After enjoying the entire day with family, I saw everyone on Facebook was out shopping for Black Friday. Although I had been eyeing a great deal on a DSLR camera at Best Buy, I opted out of going out after Thanksgiving dinner or waking up early to hit the stores. I slept in on Friday and got up and decided Tyson and I would go to Best Buy to see "what was left". Fortunately, the camera I wanted was still in stock! I scored this bundle for a great price and have been taking beautiful pictures with it daily!

  • I visited an allergy doctor to see if we could pin-point what exactly it is I'm allergic to. I have terrible "seasonal" allergies but come to find out I'm allergic to just about everything... pollen, trees, grass, cats, dust, mold... you get the idea.

This is the allergy skin test they did. It was probably the strangest experience I've ever had at a doctor's office.

  • I also found a fabulous red lipstick! You likey? I've never worn red lipstick. I bought a red Rimmel lipstick last winter and it was wretched. It made me believe I couldn't pull off a red lip. Come to find out, it was just a terrible color that didn't go with my skin tone. This color is by Revlon called "Certainly Red".

Well that pretty much catches us up! I sure missed ya'll. Talk to you soon!
